What last made you smile?

throwing my dogs favourite ball, and seeing him bounding back with it clenched in his little mouth, wanting another throw, chase, and recall. 🙂

and to remember that a smile is a curve that can straighten things out. 🙂

Yesterday, because after almost a year waiting, next week i will finally be able to buy an electric guitar.:dance:

Years ago when my husband and I were young and not long married,we had been out with friends for a night out.
Coming home slightly tipsy,and on our way to bed,my husband decided to take a flying leap into the bed.
The bed collapsed as he dove into it but only at his end! I was able to sleep comfortably high up but he sat looking up at me from down on the floor.
His expression belies belief,I couldn't stop laughing all night.

My son and I had a very challenging relationship during his teens :eeeK:.Hes a young adult now and through all that......phew!! He lives away and came to visit for the weekend. My OH has grown some onions, and we have lots of pickling ones dried off ready for preserving........, my son asked me to do some for him. So as I am sat peeling, tears streaming from said onions, with him across from me at the kitchen table, one of his favourite songs when he was about 9/10 started playing on the radio. A beer ad I think, used to play he's not heavy he's my brother. apparently he still likes it. I had to smile thinking how our turbulent relationship had turned around. Now those tears...............were they really the onions or ????????;);)

🙂 Thursday made me smile. My partner and I were having a walk around a nature reserve when we were lucky enough to see a kingfisher! It hovered for a while but didn't dive in. It really cheered us both up to see that flash of electric blue. Just being on the walk with him also made me happy!:)

My girlfriend constantly makes me smile especially with stories about the general public she has to deal with at work. She will relate story after story and the stupidity of joe public and they really make me laugh.
Hope she does'nt read this and I wont mention what she calls them under her breath (I think!).

Dinner tonight; cat came and stole some chicken from my plate whilst I was busy watching rugby, she took it away, meiowing with pride, and showed it off to her sister. She then decided that she didn't like the marinade, so left it on the floor, but fought her sister for it anyway, and ate the piece out of spite. (don't worry, her sister was then given a piece of her own)

I was building a wall today, and the customers cat kept jumping on the wall I was trying to build....very comical..and I've just fallen about watching ; The Pink Panther '.

What made me smile today, was a little boy in the baby unit where I work, took his first crawl across the floor! A couple of wobbles and he was off. His little face was a picture! 🙂
