Hello everyone,
I bumped into LavenderRose recently at a Reiki Share and she reminded what a fun place HP is. I’ve been away for a while, and there’s been a lot happening in my life.
At the beginning of 2006 I was having to work very long hours in my old job and couldn’t visit HP as much as I wanted. At the same time, I was thinking about going for a career change. I’d thought and talked it over with my partner (Polar Bear on HP) for about a year, before I decided to quit my career as a barrister in the City of London and do what I really enjoyed, which is helping others improve their health and well-being with a focus on results.
So in July of last year I set up a complementary therapies business where I live in Harpenden in Hertfordshire! I’m really happy running my business and wake up every day feeling grateful to be doing what I really love. It’s fabulous to see the difference you make to someone’s life, especially when they’re sceptical – I seem to have come across a fair few of those in the months I’ve been running my business. But by the end they’re convinced because they’ve come away with an improvement that they’ve experienced themselves.
Whilst I’m keen to build my private practice, I’m also looking forward to taking my skills back into the City to bring about better working patterns in high-stress organisations. That’s starting to take shape much earlier than I’d originally planned, but I’m really excited about the possibilities in running workshops in that environment, especially as I know and understand it well.
I’m looking forward to chatting with you all on the forums, and telling you about my recent trip to the States and the sights and sounds from the humoungous rock and gem show in Tucson, Arizona.

[color="#9900cc"]ooh, I feel famous hehe!! And this all came about because I went to the earlier Reiki share than usual - I'd taken a non-Reiki person with me and that was the time he wanted to go!!

I'm currently in India but for a much shorter period than usual so will be back in UK on Feb 21st. I really look forward to having you around again. (But I miss your old avatar - especially today - Sivaratri!)

Hello dear Sunanda, it's so good to see your beautiful avatar once more. I'm looking forward to catching up on your thread about your travels in India. Polar Bear waves his paw in hello.
