today my hubby has got me so angry, he want to get to this house to see someone so i asked him where it was as i am the driver,he said opposite his sisters, so i thought he meant that i was to drive to his sisters but no what he meant it was the estate opposite his sisters silly me now we are not talking a little distance here you drive out of his sisters street out of the esate a quater of a mile later you turn int a nother estate take the second turning drive round the streets till he gets his bearings and then drop him off ,now this is not the first time it has happened and he says i was getting in a strop with him is it too much to ask that men relise they can write down a address it would help
god that was good getting that off my chest
RE: men and directions
Well yes he was silly but at the end of the day it was nothing of consequence. Not like something bad happened. When little things irritate me I try and look at the bigger picture, like all the suffering going on across the world. Then I feel silly for getting so wound up about something that is so inconsequential.

RE: men and directions
my husband and i have been through some really h377atious territory together- so everytime i feel annoyed or unpleasent i always take a breath - step back - realize what we have overcome - and joke or tease him instead of yelling at him or getting upset...
to each his/her own - but i found this works for me - as when you can take a stressful situation and laugh at it - it feels much better than to get upset over it....

RE: men and directions
Reminds me of an occasion, late one night many years ago, when a b/f and I were trying to find a party at a house in 'Staircase Lane', in a semi-rural area.
Round and round we went, he stopping to ask directions periodically, and nobody had heard of it.
Eventually we passed a chap who had clearly just tottered out of the local pub at closing time, and my b/f in some desparation by this point, asked him. Oh yesh, ishnot far, came the reply, plus the directions, which were amazingly accurate. En route we passed the road sign ... 'Ladderbanks Lane' ... only our guide, in his advanced state of inebriation, having made the connection! 😀

RE: men and directions
Well I am always amazed to read that women are no good at directions.
In fact my husband is useless at directions and he'd be the first to admit it. The trouble is if I am driving in a strange area I cannot rely on him to find the way even if he has a map, so I end up driving and having to work out were we are going.
What he is inclind to do is bury his head in a map but not bother looking up out of the window so we end up whizzing past our turn off if I am not carerful.
