After quite a stressful day yesterday, I was cuddling my beautiful and much loved Maltese baby girl doggie woggie (Yes, I'm mad, sorry about that) last night and as I took a deep sigh of relief, thought about just how much 'better' and 'happier' our pets and animals can make us feel.
My Maltese was a suprise gift from my husband last year, we'd had to give up our cats due to allergy problems and he'd spent ages researching whether any animals were non-allergenic.
I'd mentioned many, many, many times (well, you know men) about how much I'd love a toy dog and whilst he'd said no, we can't have a dog (many reasons why were offered) he then gave in having found out about the Maltese as a breed.
We've had our little princess for just over a year now and she has improved our lives and the lives of our children beyond belief. She is not only extremely intuitive but she also, when sitting on my lap, gives off this amazing healing energy. I've had a lot of animals, both poorly wild ones and domestic ones come to me over the years and I've never come across this before.
I work with energies and can sense the energies of most things with ease and know the difference between lower and higher energy. I've got a lot of crystals that claim to be of a higher energy including Danburite and Herkimer Diamond and I know that my Maltese emits the same 'type' of energy.
How she looks now and yes she does have a pony tail!
I've got a few Maltese breed books but they don't mention anything at all about this, apart from the fact that these lap dogs were always owned by those of a higher status in times gone by.
She is my best friend, protector and healer and I wouldn't be without her now.
