I don't care whether its Berlin time or GMT or whatever, but could we please stick to one clock throughout the year and not change clocks forwards and backwards every spring and summer. Its so disorienting.

Yes you can!

You can leave your watch set the same all year round if you want - just remember that the pubs close an hour earlier in summer.

Are we really going over to CET? I don't believe it until someone shows me the prove. And what about Ireland and Portugal who are on GMT?

My bodyclock prefers GMT. It seems more natural, and I quite like waking up to sunlight in the winter mornings. If it gets dark and dull earlier in the evenings then I will go to bed a bit earlier. In the summer I'm out and about later in the evenings when its bright and there is more energy. Isn't this natural?

Anycase we in pixieland are 20 minutes behind the Greenwich meridian. Time is relative. In my town we have a large granite sun clock based on local time. There is a local joke about what is Cornish time, and the reply is "Anytime you like!!!" 😀

I think the problem would then be that I was following one clock while the rest of the country follows another and have to calculate the time every hour every day!
It would be too confusing.

Every one else is thinking the same thing. I'll do it if you will, and it might catch on!

I would prefer the longer light hours in the evening - but then I'm an 'owl' as opposed to a 'lark'!

Does everybody here think that when the clocks change the world speeds up and slows down or something? The universe keeps turning just the same.

This is a brilliant example of an excellent system - clock time - that is supposed to serve us and make our lives easier, actually becoming the master and dictating to us how we should live.

It doesn't need to be like that! It's only a dumb mechanism, we can go to bed when we like, milk the cows when they ask.
