I was listening to the radio the other morning before I got out of bed, and I heard Sarah kennedy saying that she had just come back from a holiday and suddenly found herself back in our 'angry country'. I thought about this and had to agree with her that you can almost feel the air around us 'bristling' with anger/aggression sometimes can't you? and how awful it 's becoming.
Then I thought why is this and what could we do about it?
As a Reiki attuner I started to wonder if it would be possible to change things 'for the highest will and good' by sending a healing attunement to the UK or something (via a large teddy bear), Because I thought how would I try to help a person who was angry; I would probably put my hands on their shoulders for a start, tune in, and send them love, maybe try and balance their chakras, so it should be possible to do the same for a whole country/population.
What to ask for was the next issue - compassion, love, tolerance; you could write a whole list, but then I thought 'keep it simple' and remember it's not up to me to decide; I am just a channel so maybe just a healing attunement is the answer.
I'd like to ask other people (especially Reiki people) what thoughts they might have on the subject

I see no reason why we shouldn't send Reiki to the UK. I often ask for Reiki to be sent to the Earth, so why not the whole country? And after the tsunami a few years ago I joined a ring of people who were sending Reiki to that area 24 hours a day.

What a lovely idea. Like Chris I send distance healing to situations in the world so there's no reason why we can't send healing to the UK.
I agree totally with you - you can feel the air bristle with the anger in this country. I remember an American woman saying to me in a London store some years back now that she couldn't understand why the British had to run everywhere. It's true, we do 'run' - always in a hurry, never time to just sit and stare ...

This is what I was thinking. There are issues of morality attuning people who have not asked for it.
Besides, attuning someone doesn't make them any more spiritual. They need to embrace a different mode of thinking. Read up about the history of Reiki and you will read about lots of angry Reiki masters. A lot of political nonsense got involved with Reiki in the past... and I'm sure it still goes on for those who should know better.
Sending Reiki to heal England may be more useful and relevant, however.
I agree with above and whilst doing my Reiki 2 with distant healing we were asked to send healing to certain people who are out to destroy. Initially I found this difficult but as it is said to give out love to those who need it. Now with Reiki 3, I tend to send Reiki to world situations and always send it to the earth where it will do it's good wherever needed. Personally I feel that "unused" or "unwanted" Reiki will go where it's needed but think it is good to send it to your country to help resolve issues etc.

so glad you feel the same, and send healing. By 'healing attunement' I meant that as part of my Reiki 3 we were taught to do this in certain circumstances where the person didn't necessarily need or want to be attuned to do Reiki but needed deeper healing - either as a hands-on or by distance healing.
This way the symbols don't go into the hand chakras but do go into the head and heart chakras - so they still get all the healing effects of an attunement including the increase in spiritual connection.
I don't think it would be a bad thing to do, especially if the intent is for 'the highest will and good', and intent is the key isn't it?
I really feel that our country needs a lot of help just now before it gets worse, and rather than keep moaning about it I want to try and help!

I too am aware of healing attunements, and I've used them on occasions myself with good results. However, I don't see how you can put symbols into the chakra of a country!

well last night I used a large teddy bear with a sticky label on him saying 'the whole of the UK, and its people', intended for it to be including compassion, love, tolerance etc, and blew all the symbols through the crown, down through the heart to solar plexus and back up to the crown. (also intending the removal of negative stuff).
Then I felt I should do an ordinary distant healing on the same bear for the UK.
I felt happy after I'd done it, and a lot 'lighter',
so ? wait and see I suppose.
Another idea, get together with some other Reiki students or Masters etc and do a healing circle. Its the most amazing experience ever. This way you can all send healing to the earth or the UK and feel as the energy just expands from you in the room, out into the street and all over. The Ascended Masters tell us that we shouldn't send healing to particular places or situations. The best thing to do is send it into the Universe and ask that it be used for the highest will and good by the Ascended Masters and Higher beings. These things are happening for a purpose and it is not for us to try and change it as we do not have the knowledge.
That is what I have been told, and these are the guidelines I follow. Your choice is your own

Couldnt the same also be said about physical illnesses?
Yes it could. I'm not going to argue the point. What I have said I was told through a chanelled session and I am happy with that. I know most of you will not agree with what I have said - but thats the way I go. We all have a choice and I made mine.
