Clouds are curvy, i.e. not given to producing oblong shafts of sunlight...sorry, it doesn't add up. Something weird here. (I am not saying it's Jesus though!)

And shafts of light are angular. Therefore, at certain angles will look like oblongs.

Shafts of light tend to be a shaft! Also, certainly not change their shape at the top of the shaft in this peculiar angular/unflowing manner!

Not all clouds are "curvy", they can lie flat and even curved edges of multiple clouds can add up to fairly straight edges at times, especially at a distance.

I looked at the picture several times and there is no definite hard edged oblong shape, it's just the angle of the light in the clouds.

Would flat clouds produce such a shape? Hmmm Maybe multiple clouds can have 'fairly straight edges' but they would still be curvy/fluffy above and below. This video clearly shows a flat top (as well as flat sides). Since the video is shown as it is happening, I am not sure it is possible to doctor the image, i.e. interfere/change it....that would be interesting to know. Thereagain, would there be such a gathering just for a shaft of sunlight?

Admittedly the strange, oblong shape is not 'hard edged' but you cannot overlook the fact that a shaft of sunlight does not have an oblong shape at the top of it! Very unnatural!

You know what - I'm thrilled to read this, as it must have really comforted those dear people after what they've been through.

I agree — there's really no way anyone can prove whether the image was or wasn't something miraculous, but it certainly looks like some kind of angelic being and it definitely brought a sense of comfort and hope to people who desperately needed it.

This lot though is really bizarre - especially the foodie ones! 😮 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/howaboutthat/11491504/20-images-of-Jesus-and-other-religious-figures-seen-in-strange-things-and-places.html?frame=3243244

Er, quite. I'm reminded of another example I remember seeing a print of years ago: http://www.rejesus.co.uk/site/module/unexpected_faces/P7/ I've no idea whether the story that goes with it is true or apocryphal, but there certainly is an image within that picture that could be interpreted as the face of Jesus... (It's easier to pick out if you scroll down to the photo of the church.)
