Whoo hoo! My pal and I have booked to go on a Nile Cruise in mid-April. It's only for a week and is costing a horrendous amount of money but I'm so looking forward to being somewhere new and interesting and hot! And not long to wait. It's apparently quite a luxury ship. LOL I shall look like the pauper at the feast! (Am I bothered?):p

D'you know, Sue, I'm not really sure. I left my friend to do the booking, although I did look at the website. We were going for one that left from Aswan but I think in the end we took the Luxor option. I'm pretty sure we see Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings etc. She just told me today that the brochure came through the post so I can have a look tomorrow. We have 12 included excursions and they all seem to start at crack of dawn, so there'll be no lounging around. We decided to pay upfront for drinks as one of the reviews said they're expensive if you buy on board (including water.) We were going to pay extra for an upper cabin but they're sold out so we're down around the water line!
I shall take loads of pix and bore you all stupid with them afterwards!

Have you been before? I've just found out that we have to pay extra to go to Abu Simbel. It's £120 by air or £60 by road. Is it worth it? I think we're going to be knackered by the end of the week.
