Hi, I am based near Stroud but unfortunately will not be qualified/insured until next summer! Would be happy to meet up then for a swap if you are still interested (I am about to start a VTCT in Swedish Massage and Reiki levels 1 and 2 booked for November.)

Hi

There is a lady called Sandi Shuffrey who teaches reiki, based in Selsley Common I think. Try googling for the Stillpoint Centre. I do not know her, but she was recommended to me by someone who said she is a very good reiki teacher. I am travelling to Denham to learn Jikiden reiki with Dan and Rika Simpson this November. I want to learn Jikiden reiki in particular, I am intrigued by it and have heard nothing but good things about it. I used to live near Uxbridge though so travelling down there doesn't feel too far, plus I have friends in the area still.

I will come back to this thread after xmas, when I have a bit more experience in the basics and feel ready for guinea pigs! Feel a bit unsure about treating people I don't know well, not sure if I can get some kind of 'student' insurance to practice on people, just to cover my back. Thinking about it, I might have sorted out insurance for practicing Reiki by then, so maybe I can tie massage into that.

It's really nice to know there are plenty of others in the Stroud area who I can talk to about these things.
