Which college was it cancelled at? Im pretty local to you - I did my holistics level 3 at Keighley.
Skipton also do a holistic course - and they have a free car park if you go there lol or its pretty near the train station (I have just finished doing some studies there)
I have just enrolled at Horsforth college, I think they do holistics there too - just look up Leeds College on google and search the courses..
Thats if of course you don't get on where you were wanting! Good luck with it and dont worry about the work - it can be hard at times, and I had a few late nights but if you really want to do it you will find the time - housework can wait till the weekends xx 😉
oh and dont worry about the school qualifications - as long as you can read and write you will be fine - honestly!! You dont have to be a member of MENSA lol - I hated school and didn't do any GCSE's etc but I have passed level 3 in holistics and have just done level 2 in sports and fitness therapies and got distinctions in all my assignments - and I am no spring chicken! If I can do it then anyone can lol. Determination and an interest in the subject is the biggest thing that you can have - you have that then your 90% there x (and yes I have kids to look after too, on my own)
Have you tried Skipton - level 3 holistics, I think this would be better than messing about with level 2 first, and you have the qualifications to go straight to level 3. I worked with a few people who did this course and it looks a really good course.
Hi Lisa, I have to agree with what the others said. Dont put off until next year something you would really like to do. Dont let your past experiences of education put you off. My school days were pretty bad and I spent more time out of it than in. However in the last 10 years I returned to education and discovered I wasnt as "thick" as the teachers told me I was. I believe if you are interested in doing something you really want to do you put all your effort into it and you find the time to do it somehow. It is not like when you were younger having to go to school, once you make the choice to return to education, it is your choice not someone elses and you do it for yourself. Go for it girl! sure no problem to you
Thanks - I've decided to go for the course in Bradford, if they'll have me, I've got to wait for them to get in touch (they were supposed to call today but she said if she didnt, she'd write). I'm probably going to ring with a list of questions (eg: about costs, uniform, times, days etc) on Monday if I've not had a letter by then (impatient, I know, but they could be starting soon for all I know!).
While the Skipton course was the lower level, it was also full time, and I think I would find it easier studying a harder level one day a week than a lower level full time. At least I have 6 days to cram as much study in as I can between lessons, instead of having to be there every day and come home to a busy family. Does that make sense?
They also do these level 4 courses...

...obviously for after I've done level 3 - but does anyone know if they're good courses to do?
Lisa, I hadn't been in a classroom since 1985, apart from my daughters when she was at school lol, really it isn't as bad as what you think, GO FOR IT 🙂 x
