Hi I was wondering if anyone knew where we stand with foreign certification - I am thinking of doing an Indonesian Massage course in Bali but would this be legit for FHT? The course is 35 hours and I already hold A&P and other therapies...
Any ideas?? x
you will have to ask FHT.
Thanks, will do x
Hi there you can do the training in the UK with Indonesian Secrets - I think they might be the only trainer in the UK. You will also have the chance to learn the Balinese Rituals, they are great to add to your treatments or to use as a stand alone treatment. I trained with Indonesain Secrets about 18 months ago - one of my massage clients used to live in Bali and the massage is practically the same- only some moves are left out as in Bali they will use coins to scrape around the scapula - you will be taught to use your knuckles and is just as effective. The FHT will insure Indonesian Secrets courses too, the massage training takes three full days and the Rituals is about a day - great fun and a great massage to give.
Hope you get on ok with them - I think their web is www.indonesiansecrets.com good luck
Hi ya Sunflower
You can train in Indonesian (Javanese and Balinese) Massage also at the Bodyharmonics Centre www.bodyharmonics.co.uk in Cheltenham. It's a six day course but you need at least A&P as it is a post-grad.
A friend of mine studied Thai massage in Thailand and had no problems with FHT as she was already had A&P plus therapies.
Where are going to in Indonesia to train? Eventhough I have trained in the UK, I would like to see how they do it out there, and have a holiday at the same time.
Cheers
