I will be sitting my A&P Vtct in April 2013 and am wondering if there is anyone reading that has any advice re the exams that is recent?
I have read throught the past papers you lovely people have provided, and at this stage feel i could take the exam on the work I have done, although I also know that there is a lot i DONT know still!!!!
What is my main concern is, is whether we have to know the insertion points for all muscles or just that that muscle exists and where it is located? Because if we have to know the insertion points then we will need to know the grooves and markings on the bones - so do we need those too? My gut is saying no, that that is far too much detail, but id like to be sure!!!

I sat the exam yesterday, apparently it has just been changed again so you may sit the same one.
I'm fairly confident to say you don't need to know insertion points. So long as you have revised sufficiently you should be okay. They questions were fairly similar to the ones posted above.
There where a few that caught me out. The first one was the temperature of the treatment room. I opted for 20-25 degrees but it was 16-19! The other one was what element of the skin synthesises vit D, apparently it's cholesterol- who knew, not me!
There was a diagram of the skin that needs to be labelled, I think it was 15 parts, they are all listed, you need to match them up.
I can't remember all the Q's but I'll try to give you some pointers.
Know the three main body types, endo, ecto and mesomorph.
Know where the parietal bone is.
Know what hypo-pigmentation is
Know the axial skeleton parts
Know what makes up the CNS
Know you lymph gland locations in the lower body in particular

Has anyone sat outcome 2 2013 paper this year yet apparently questions a lot harder and just wonder if anyone got any examples 😮 been revising but a heads up helps as well 🙂
