my hubby says just keep reading ( easy for him as when he have took exams he always gets 100 % ) i feel so thick [:o]
When we had our little tests every week i always got them all right as i drumed into my brain so much, but there is so much to learn.

RE: Help with A&P RETEST
Hi Katherine,
I have found that really condensing my notes has helped. I read through my subject notes and take the basic minimum from them eg: Mitrochondria - MEB - it jogs my memory enough to know that it breaks down sugars by ATP and converts it to energy for the cell, also perhaps try and associate what you are stuggling with with something else - such as me and my MEB, or atlas and axis - axis is circumufrence and I remeber from this that it is the shaking action of the head - daft I know but it seems to be working for me. There is only so much information you can retain and if you are trying to read all your notes over and over again - there is simply too much.
I have a seperate little book with all my revision notes in and it goes everywhere with me so if I have 5 mins I will go through it. Someone I know also made a tape with loads of questions on it which she plays in her car - she asks the questions and then leaves a pause for her to answer and then gives the answer on her tape and she plays it to and from work, another person from my class has post it notes around the house so she can always see the information. You have to try and work out what is best for you
Just also had another thought but our A&P tutor has told us that all we need to know, as in basics, are in the red work book, so if you have reseached your own note you may have gone a little too deep into the subject. I read around a subject and make my own notes and then use these and the redbook as a guide for what I need to revise
Hope this helps
Good Luck

RE: Help with A&P RETEST
Hi katherine
look at the past exam papers (they only use a couple ) and keep reading your notes
write them down as you would understand them.
i went through each section of a book at a time and wrote in my own notes about that section
like the circulatory system i wrote about the different blood cells
which cell does what
about the heart.
i tried to make it simple.
two books i used were "an introductory guide to anatomy and physiology"
by louise tucker
and human body by ted smart
if you havent got these you will prob find them at your library.
if you want to pm me your address i will send you some of my notes
you will have to bear with me for a few days as busy but i will send them
they may help you.
