Hmmm, not quite. I did A & P last year - you write your assessment - if you fail (you need 100%) the teacher will give it back to you to correct any problem - if all answers are still not correct she will hand it back to you once more - if you feel you can not write the answer down then she will discuss it with your verbally. If you fail this then you go back to step one and get a complete new paper with different questions. However, as you have an assessment every 2 or 3 weeks this is not a good idea as you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself!

For the final exam you only get the paper once - I think it was 25 multiple choice questions - you need 75% to pass this one and only get one shot at it. If you fail (and we did have some people fail in our class) you get the oppertunity to re-write this paper a month ot 2 later.

hi andy pandy i know how you feel i have my a&p exam on the 16th May if ui fail(3rd attemp) i will have to do the whole course again!

As like the others I did VTCT A&P last yearand was due to take my multiple choice exam in June but was on holiday so had to take it Sept and within that time scale the pass mark had changed, so unlike others on my course who only needed 75% (I think) to pass I had to get 100%. You needed to get over 75% and then you could verbally answer the questions you got wrong to get the 100%.If you get under the 75% you need to take the examagain. This is taken at the end of the course after you have completed and passed all the assignments.

Don't worry - the best thing is to keep up with all the assignments and get them out of the way.

I did my retake yesterday and past it.
Going threw the paper afterwards it seemed really easy paper.
