RE: new website and forum for Devon
Dear HP Members,
Sorry for my burst of anger and I'm pleased that Daveyboy had decided to edit his original post so that it's in keeping with HP rules. Many people on this forum (myself included) hold down a full time job and make time to contribute to it. After all it's the discussions, sharing of knowledge and experiences which keep us coming back. In my humble opinion forums aren't principally for advertising other products, free as they may be, but about building a community. In my view, Daveyboy's post #6 continues to suggest that his main interest in joining HP is to promote his site.
Like everyone on HP I am concerned about the environment (I live 5 miles away from the fireball currently blazing in Herts and wonder what is going to happen to all the places the toxic fumes reach). I wish Daveyboy well in raising environmental concerns in his local area.
Point noted, Giles - I'll draw the attention of the Moderators to any posts that I think are of concern.

In reply to Cub,I understand everything you say and largely agree with it.The only point I will make is that you say that a forum is about building a community, well that is exactly what I am trying to do.Linking like minded individuals is very important for the protection of the environment, and that is one of my main aims. This is one forum, mine is another.......and there are hundreds of others.I am not trying to sell anything,I am trying to let people know about something they may find interesting. You say it is the sharing of knowledge and experiences that draws you back to this forum.....I am just adding to that....not detracting! These are my last words on this subject, hopefully my next contribution will be less argumentative and more uplifting!?Maybe..........:-)Thanks again to everyone,
Dave

Hey Daveyboy
(ooh I love a naughty boy - keep rattling those cages - its only by challenging people and causing discomfort that people pay attention)
I have a full time job and study and teach on top so really relate to what you say about time - have had a peep at your website and can' t really see why anyone would take umbridge and you are miles from me so can't even benefit. Glad you 'blatantly' advertised it so I could benefit 'on line' if not 'in the flesh' as it were.
Get passionate about 'your thing' folks and so long as you're not hurting or harming anyone or anything (or trying to convert someone to your way of thinking) does it matter?
We are all going to die - its just a matter of timing as my mother would say!. (Am I in trouble now for 'inciting a riot?')
