Cat Rescue Organisations
Here are two recent links from the dogs rescue organisations thread, since they also rescue cats:

"Cinnamon Trust is the specialist national charity for elderly or teminally ill people and their companion animals."

They also have a cat section.

Thanks, claudette. A lovely site with a lovely catloving owner from the sound of it. Seems to be quite local to the Brentwood, Essex area ... for those in that part of the world. (I'll just put the link again - for posterity!)

Thanks to you too, Sophie. Wow, a superb site this, from which I'll just quote a couple of little bits:
Our Mission Statement:
"To facilitate the rehoming of unowned cats and kittens nationally through cat rescue groups, and to promote kindness to all animals."
"Cat Chat has one of the largest databases of UK rescue centres on the web!"
There's a map of the UK with a drop down menu to select your area, and the information given is truly comprehensive: Addresses of rescue centres large and small, websites, emails, local phone nos. and, where applicable, national helplines as well, as in eg Cats Protection League. Plus stacks of other useful info.
Renewed thanks to you both for posting.
