My cat shadow died yesterday, he had either liver or pancreatic cancer, they couldnt investigate as he was 12 and he would have died during the op most probably.
I picked him up the other night and he had a sore belly, full of sores that werent there a week or two ago and then he was out in my hall and he keeled over, got back up and started drinking milk but I just knew he was dying and he couldnt go on.
My mum was with him at the end, I was too shattered to go. I am in pieces, I cant sleep or eat, Ive lost half a stone since last week, my heart is broken.
He was the best friend I ever had. I hope he is shining in the sky, the brightest happiest star.
Was always me and shadow, just shadow and me, and Ive lost my other half, my wee pal.
Sleep well shadow, I hope you always rest in peace. I love you.
I am so sorry to read about Shadow. We also lost a very dear member of our family a few years ago, Angel. She was 19 and passed away at home in her sleep. It leaves such a big hole doesn't it? Have you looked at the Rainbow Bridge thread on the Pet Forum? It helped us a lot at the time.
