My thoughts and prayers were with you today.
When my dad passed away very suddenly last year a friend wrote me a lovely note and the end read ..
"Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will."
some days this is the only thing that keeps me going.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, the funeral was lovely albeit rather quiet, there was only 11 of us attending.
I read the eulogy and faltered right at the end, but otherwise I did ok. Amazingly the graveside bit didn't bother me at all in the end, I just thought that it was right that Mum should be with Dad now.
I am now absolutely shattered....but feel peaceful.
