prayers and healing for Poppet...

I found an olderlady cat in a local park last week very early in the morning, very confused, disorientated, possible mild dementia. She was in the middle of a road wandering in circles. She had a collar, but no name or number on it. She could not pick up on any scent markings and none of the neighbours in the area recognised her so i brought her home with me. I have put up posters in the local area and told a cat home about her but I have not had a single call in response to them.

I have named her Poppet. Itook her to the vets and the outcome for her is a bit grim to say the least. She could be between 14 and 18, has very badly inflamed and ulcerated gums (now on anti-biotics for them), heart murmur, high heart rate probably due to thyroid gland, kidney disease possibly near kidney failure and possible liver disease. I am doing all that I can to find her family, but I can't see it happening. She is more than welcome to live with me. She seems to be quite settled and clingy and does not seem to be coping too badly at the moment.

There are a few possible scenarios... she is lost; owner is housebound and has not seen posters; owner has died. But more likely I think she has been dumped as she was in the road that early in the morning, not recognised, no-one seems to be missing her and there are potentially high vets bills.

Any prayers and healing for Poppet would be most welcome, and also compassion/forgiveness for her family, depending on why she was actually left alone in the way that she was. [sm=hug.gif]
