I'm offering prayers of thanks for the release of Ingrid Betancourt who was held captive by Columbian guerrillas for 6 years. When she came back into the news earlier this year I was praying for her then but didn't get round to posting a thread here. Now I'm reading that she's being thought of as a future President of Columbia. Perhaps this experience will help her to heal that country's bitter wounds after so many have died. I'm reminded too of Aung San Suu Kyi and how she will eventually bring light to the Burmese people. We need to pray to the All Mother that these women, and others like them, can heal not only their own traumas but those of their fellow countrymen.
