I feel a little embarassed to put this in Healing and Prayers as it's such a minor thing. But I have just returned from the dentist after having a big back tooth taken out and I have to go back in a few weeks for a hugely dreaded (by me anyway) root canal filling. So I am sat feeling miz, looking like a lopsided chipmunk as I have a big wodge in my mouth that I have to bite down on for a few hours. And not even allowed a cup of tea yet. Sympathy would be much appreciated....

Ouch.....I have some dental work which needs doing. Have just registered with an NHS dentist but they cannot accept any treatmetns from new patients for a few weeks. I too have problems with an old root canal, cannot chew on that tooth.....and am dreading it if they have to re-do it. And if they decide to take it out..swear I'm not going out in public toothless...it's one that's on show :008:

Thanks both of you. I'm not in pain as the injections haven't worn off yet but I feel kind of spacey and fed up. And I am gasping for that cuppa! Ah well, mustn't grumble!

I really feel for you. I expect you have been told "no hot drinks, no alcohol, no smoking, NO rinsing out, and take it easy for the rest of the day" as is the usual advice. Starting tomorrow hot salt water mouth washes would be good but do not rinse away the blood clot!
