Hi my friends. 2 gravely ill relatives need your help, if you are so led.
Ed is my nephew (30). He was using a nailing gun, and a nail ricocheted off of a wall and buried in his eye. He had to physically pull it out himself!!! They do not know the extent of the destruction yet. He is havingeye surgery this morning. They can tell his cornea is very damaged, but at this point, they hope thathis retina is ok. If it is, at some point he will need a corneal transplant in order to see out of that eye.
My husband's uncle, Butch, has terminal cancer of the jaw/face/throat. After suffering with this horrible affliction and trying every treatment they had, he has just been moved into a hospice facility. As he faces his death, please offer him your positive, uplifting energy. Also rememberButch's family, especially his wife, children, andespecially his mother,who depended upon Butch's loving attention and care and saw her husband and other son also die from cancer.

Thank you sweeties -- here's an update from my sis about her son (he is on many prayer lists inclusive of this one, so she knows there are people from all over keeping her son in their thoughts ; ):
first of all, thank you all for your prayers....
surgery was just over an hour....some blood was removed from the retina, but it looks undamaged...the cataract was cleaned up(damaged lens removed) and as he had a leak in his cornea, the doc put in a bubble and then glued the cornea...don't ask me...anyhow, i am so praying that when all is said and done the cornea will be repairable and he won't need a transplant...also, that he will have a miraculously fast healing and not be out of work too long...thank you guys again...love from kathy
