Is anyone aware of an eco friendly 'healthy house' effective woodworm treatment?

RE: Eco friendly woodworm treatment???
Mmmm.
We struggled with this for years and we've still never found a full proof way that works with every situation.
After reading lots of info at the time, I decided that in some cases it was the lovely insecticide companies panicking us into action. I'll try and dig out some of the links I foundbut it was a few years back.
I now resort to keepingour house as dry/warm as possible & I've not seenany for years now. According to the experts this doesn't work as most of the timbers are underfloor, etc.
If it's furniture (& its possible) it's often made of different types of wood, some of which they seem to like more than others, and you can remove the affected part & replace it - I've done that with an old chair & it was fine.
Someone also recently suggested Borax powder but haven't tried it.
They certainly don't like the beeswax mix my partner uses to finish some of his furniture and we've never had any problems with any of these......
Will see what I can find in my archives......
Take care

Thank-you. Please do let me know what you find in your archives.
I have heard about borax, although I wasn't sure how to use it, or what quantity etc.
Your response is much appreciated.
Warm Regards

Is this any good?

Boron based treatments are less hazardous to you and the environment, but it depends on the extent of the infestation I guess.
Good luck!
