I have been watching Eastenders recently and would like to know your views reguarding the portrayal of beauty therapists on the show.
For example; Chelsea's "dress code", tunic unbuttoned at the top flashing her cleavage and unbuttoned at the bottom showing far to much thigh.
Am I missing something?
Tim

ha ha, it's like anyone in soaps - look how quickly & easily they are suddenly qualified in their chosen profession. Emmerdale Farm - Debbie Dingle, school leaver with no exams is within weeks a qualified mechanic. A few months later, she is running a garage and employing others!

As for the dress code - sure it was Chelsea & not me!!:p

I love it when new characters arrive like Tanya in Eastenders, open a beauty shop and within two episodes she's on the phone saying she has no appointments left, it happened years ago in the same soap when someone opened a hair salon ahhhhhhhh if only!

Same as Claire in Coronations Street, within weeks she had become a fully trained counsellor and dealing with clients at home.

It took me a year just to get to level 2!

And then she goes and befriends the client.....something I was taught not to do.....while still counselling her.

LOL they usually give therapists a bad name. They have nails like talons - so that's good for massage. Don't appear to care less about their clients and as Tim says, show too much bod. Grrr.
