Hi

I was wondering if anyone has gone through this. For the past 12 months I have been working at finding out who I am as I felt pretty lost, confused and unhappy. I read spirituality books and learned how to meditate. Over time I realised I'm not really the person some people believe I am but always feel others want me to be the old insecure, indecisive self. But what is happening now is that I find I am minimising contact with certain people (the pushy domineering types) I previously socalised with regularly because I feel uncomfortable around them. I wondered if this means I have outgrown them or something but I don't want to end up with no friends at all! Should this be happening.

Hi Sandra
It sounds to me like your journey has begun & your walking nicely with it:). Spirit work subtly at first in my experience, then sometimes you have a break while intergrating what you have learned so far.. the other thing I found was that the more I pushed the more I stood in my own light, and wasnt seeing what spirit was showing me
Love & joy on your journey Sandra

Hugs Maria xx

As you grow and change and raise your vibration you may find that those people you were friends with in the past you leave behind. At other times you distance yourself for a while then come back, but yes, there will be people you leave behind but you will meet more like minded people along your journey.

Love and light

I can identify totally - im learning all the time. People see what they want to see, and yes i distanced myself to. You will find like minded people and people when you want. Life is a journey with many twists and turns. Keep being true to yourself and you will be who you are might to be. love oggs

RE: Inner growth difficulties

Thanks everyone, it feels reassuring to hear what you have to say. Something that upset me recently was that I was explaining to someone who I thought was a very supportive friend about doing some inner work and needing a bit of time to myself, and she seemed quite put out and said "but isn't that going to make you very self-absorbed" and I immediately felt as if I was wrong for wanting some time out. It surprised me that some people would have a problem with self-awareness work. The advice about staying true to yourself is very valuable, I shall remember that.
