Do you know, if someone tells me I need to evolve, I tell them just what I think of that idea, and so should everyone!
But Xia, no one is telling you you need to evolve. Some of us simply feel that we are evolving...why does that bother you so much? You are absolutely free to believe and do whatsoever you choose, as long as it does no harm to others. It would appear to be you who are telling us what to believe and what not, rather than just stating your opinions. Forgive me if I misjudge you, but your posts are quite confrontational in tone, or is it only that I am reading them wrongly?

Thats put so lovelly Sunanda & I agree with you tottally & I wonder if Xia can look deep enough within to answer your question;)

But I feel theres a meeting of minds happening here..perhaps not with this thread but I'm thinking more about the other 2 that are going at the mo....I can't take that Xia is telling us what to believe as personaly I don't think anyone can do that...I think he/she is just airing their views as we all are....once someone become more aggressive & confortational in an argument then they've lost before the carry on further...although theres no argument here...it's just an opposing opinion...wether or not I agree (& actually I do agree with quite a few comments made to a point) I'm enjoying having an open debate...even if I am just sitting on the side lines looking in;)...I think no one should allow themselves to feel 'attacted' or 'critized' (Oh my spelling...I dispear[:o]) with things said...seeing or hearing differant opinions (to me) is a way of learning

Thank you for your comments. Actually I am finding my own reactions to Xia's postings possibly more interesting than the posts themselves! (Now is that self-absorbed or what?) And I was on the point of agreeing with her on one of the other threads (they're all merging into one now - it's late for me and my short term memory is going!!!) I'm guarding against being sucked into a personal argument, which is not my style. As I said, interesting that my buttons are being pushed! Once more, I think it boils down to the fact that we often react most strongly to someone who mirrors our own feelings/prejudices/doubts etc. (Wait - let me retract that royal 'we' and substitute a neutral 'one'!)

I know what you mean, I forget which post I'm reading latley;)
I think it boils down to the fact that we often react most strongly to someone who mirrors our own feelings/prejudices/doubts etc
I think it's a case of someone who makes us question what we(or I) hold as truth...I'm not a believer in mirrors & like attracts like...I feel whats happening here is someone challanging to some degree what believes we hold...I think that is fine, so long as we're (sorry I'm);) firm in my beliefs...or open to learn other views...if anything I'll learn a different perpective or my beliefs will be strengthed...if I'm honest my beliefs are being strengthed as I've been going through a stage of questioning myself anyway...so I'm welcoming everything that comes...:D

Speaking as a member and not as a moderator.....
These long postings take up a lot of bandwidth, and the point of what's being arrived at in them can be done so using only a few words and sentences. I find posts much more interesting when they aren't as long as 'War And Peace.'
