HI there to all!
Just have a little concern about the above forum. On quite a few occassions i have replied to a request asking for a reading swap. I have gone ahead done my part of the swap and unfortunately then never hear from the other person again, or whether they accepted my reading at all, and never seem to get a reaading in return. Im getting abit upset about this and wondered if there was anyway that things could be changed, so that when someone asks to a swap and gets someone to swap with them they actually do their part of the bargain.

not sure how that could be done, on a practical level, as it is an arrangement btwn two forum members, and is done on an honour system.
do you follow up with a pm or email?
next time you arrange a swap, how about you have a reading done first, then you do a reading in return?
and only do exchanges with people who have been members for a while and have contributed useful posts
have the others been mainly people who might have joined only in the hope of getting a reading?

Not much else to add to tigress' suggestions, apart from:
swapping readings on an agreed day (and approximate time) that must be the same for both people.
Agree a set time lapse re following up with feedback before sending readings
request a read receipt with your PM, so you'll know when a member has logged onto HP and read it ( not 100% guarantee though, as PM's do go unread)

Well, thats not on is it!! I thought the whole idea of a swap was that each person gets a reading!
think the suggestion that next time, you go 2nd-make sure you get a reading first.
Oh, Starishaw, what a shame it's not been working out. I can't believe people don't honour their side of the bargain. I would offer to swop with you but I really am still a complete novice, despie having a book to help me learn and a ebook I downloaded. I find it hard to put the reading into words. I'll get there one day - I hope!
I'm sure someone will respond that should have swopped with you - good luck.
