Does anyone else have trouble 'wanting' to read, i find i can do it for a while, then the feelings fade and i dont feel the need, then i go through another phase where i want to read the cards, but when i dont, i cant! Does that happen to anyone else?:(

Yes, it happens to me Sheangel, i have to be in the right frame of mind too and get the proverbial 'tarot reader's block' as well.:)

Ditto here.
But I have quite a lot of carefully-chosen Tarot decks that sing to me.

So I love quietly looking through a whole pack of a favourite deck, just before bed - simply admiring the beautiful artwork with my conscious mind 'switched off'... it's a soothing type of almost-meditation, like a visual bedtime story or lullaby ... mmm!

[ eg:I simply adore the Taort of Transformation's gentle, radiant colours and uplifting messages of Hope, when I'm stressed or low, to magically comfort & cheer me! 🙂 ]

Even if not in the frame of mind to do a formal reading, I find just looking through them calms & soothes me.
It absorbs the tensions of the day & any worries, possibly by depicting my current 'stuff' in some of the archetypal images, so wordlessly, beautifully & perfectly.

I guess my unconscious feels catered for & understood.

Without even concentrating, the very act of quietly looking, at random, in a relaxed way, helps enormously and is a lovely way to get a good night's sleep!

Oh yes, I've just taken a little break from reading as I felt I needed "time out" as they say! I've had a lovely holiday, done a few home improvements, booked a short break before Christmas and now feel on top form!
