Not entirely sure if this is the right forum to post my thread but I am sure I can find the right HP members here to give me some advise please.
The following has happened:
Last week I contacted a clairvoyant, medium, astrologer, tarot reader, asking for a reading on a specific issue (relationship related) she asked me to send her a picture of myself and the person in question, what I did. She quoted the price of the reading, which I accepted and agreed on. She mentioned that she would call me in about 4 - 5 days after she has received the picture and she needed to do some meditation.
On Saturday she called me, asked me to sit comfortably etc. what I did and she began with the reading and said that she meditated for 1.5 hrs on me and looked into my heart etc. etc. the outcome of the reading as such was okay. My questions were more or less answered.
However, she then went on and said that she would recommend to do a ritual for me and some meditation and consultancy etc. this would take about 3 months and it would cost me £1000!!!!
I mentioned, that I have no intention to undergo a ritual as I don't know what is involved, I was only interested in a reading furthermore I think that £1000 is a lot of money to ask and I can not afford such expenditure. She said I could pay her by credit card in 2 instalments etc. and she explained a little about the ritual, ie. what she would need the money for etc. but it was all very vague.
I was very shocked to hear this kind of approach to be honest and was a little unsure of how to react and what to say. She advised me to think about her recommendation and to contact her if I would like to go ahead with the ritual until then she would not charge me extra for the reading I had. Meaning that either way I would have to contact her again.
I am really perplexed about this experience and this approach.
I even don't know what a ritual means and what this would entail.
I would also like to mention that I am not in a life crisis, I am not depressed in any way or am unhappy with my life. On the contrary, I am a very positive and quite happy individual. I just wanted a simple reading and had a specific question, that's all!
Your views and opinions on how to get out of this strange situation would be very, very much appreciated.

Don't be taken in by this. Have read too many stories and even seen a few TV programmes where people get very badly ripped off. It usually starts off with a reading or consultation and then all these other add on's get tossed in, this is usually how 'frauds' make their 'big bucks'! Before you know it she has your money and then tells you she needs more time and rituals etc. and so it becomes a never ending story and the only outcome is that you are badly out of pocket.
After all, you wanted your reading and you got what you paid for. She is now trying to sell you stuff that you did not ask for or were not interested in. If you had walked into a shop and this happened, you would have walked out. You don't owe her anything.
I wouldn't bother to contact her and if she contacts me I would tell her in no uncertain terms that she has nothing I want to pay for and if she contacts you again you will see this as harassment and take further steps.

It sounds like you had your reading, and was fairly satisfied with it - end of story. Stay well away as all this person wants to do is to take your money from you.
If this person harrasses you any further, threaten to report him/her to the police that should do the trick.

Thanks a lot for your messages. I am just astounded I guess, how bold she was with her "recommendation".
I would imagine that people who call for a reading, quite often could be in an emotional vulnerable state and she would take advantage of them. It's just not right.
Anyway, I had to get this off my chest as it was bothering me.
However, I do have to get in touch with her regarding the payment of the reading. She said she was not going to charge my credit card for this reading until I took a decision regarding the ritual?!
Maybe, I'll just send her an email if I can...
