after watching this newscast and following it closley [link= http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/09/nyc.odor.ap/index.html ]http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/09/nyc.odor.ap/index.html[/link]i asked fellow workers what they thought.
One said it was probably just sewage or some smell coming from the coast or something. The other is why i am posting here. he said it was because of 9/11. his theory is that there are still thoasands of souls that are unrest and they are roaming about the city, most of the 'missing' were from manhatten. he said he believed that the smell of death is what passed through the city yesterday.
i dont know - but i would like to know anyones thoughts on the issue, as this is quite interesting. I know what death and decay smell like, both animal and human, and can only imagine that this smell was that.
Can ghosts stink?
thanks - Ada

RE: Can ghosts stink?
I sometimes have "visitors" who bring a smell with them, often flowers or perfume but occasionally BO. I also smell my old dog around me sometimes, he had a very disctinctive smell, I usually smell it just after feeling something brush up against me when there's nothing there. However, I'd say the smells that spirit bring with them are usually smells that are associated with them in life.
I did used to work just up-wind from a chemical processing factory and the smell of sulphur (rotton eggs) was common when the wind blew in the "right" direction, but occasionally there'd be a different smell of rotting flesh - this was explained as an unusual chemical reaction that had taken place due to the processing work they were doing at the time.

eeep - sounds creepy!
They want to pass this situatioin off as a chemical reaction in the natural gas - the stuff that scents it...but i think thats a load of balonie....
