I am interested in your thoughts on this 🙂
Recently, over the past year or so, I have had a lot of 'spiritual' dreams where I either meet 'God' (or some form of divine creator..) or other supernatural beings, like angels. In all these dreams I am petrified, and try to wake myself up. Even if I am in the prescene of a 'good' spirit, it seems I am paralysed by fear in my dream that I have to wake up, and even when I wake I am scared and have to switch the light on!!
The other night for example, I had a dream about some angels. I work part time in a nursing home, which is depressing to say the least. Anyway - in my dream I had arrived for work, and i was overwhelmed with the usual feeling of sadness, death etc. I went into another room and was almost blinded by this immense light, and there were female angels kissing (although, not in an erotic way) the elderly patients, who were also female. The angels tried explaining to me that the old people were going someone better, and she also explained that 'sex' and 'gender' are socially constructed categories, and beyond 'life' there is no male or female, we just 'are'.
I mean, what a beautiful dream!! I had to wake myself up however, because I was so scared.. I was so scared when I woke up I had to awaken my boyfriend and get him to cuddle me!
Why do you think this is? A few years ago, I used to be a Chrisitan but do not believe anymore, not in Christianity anyway. I believe in a spiritual side and perhaps in a creator, and in angels etc but I have no experience of any of this. I do sometimes pray and ask for experience etc.. maybe this is my way of being contacted? I dont know.. any ideas or advice would be great because it is happening fairly often, and I think my boyfriend thinks I am a bit mental 😉

You are experiencing angels coming to you in your dreams they will not show themselves out of dream state until you heal your fear.
You are so loved by the angelic realms and they have made it clear that they work by your side you are truly blessed beloved one.
I found the quote about gender very interesting and I hope you don't mind me posting it on another thread.

I thought maybe I needed to 'heal my fear' before I could go further, but I am not sure how...
Of course I don't mind you using that quote on another thread :)I study literary theory and we are just starting to look at gender theory, which is very interesting.
I remember reading this quote once which said 'We are all one in spirit, regardless of our form' which was very beautiful, I thought.

Maybe 'going forwards' wil be what will heal your fear(s)?
Is people dying a recurrent theme in your spiritual dreams? Does seeing all these elderly people in the home you work in brings up fears about "how is it going to be for me when I am their age?".
Can you remember how you felt DURING the dream? At which point of the dream fear came in?
