Hi,
I live in Brighton and heard today that the HPV vaccine is being made available to girls down here from today.
I just wondered whether all the parents have been informed about the 1000's of girls suffering adverse reactions and the 8 dead girls in the USA alone from this vaccine. Apparently 3 have also died in Europe.
I'm not a parent but I'm wondering, if you are one, would this information make you think twice? Should it have been made available to all parents? Is this is an acceptable risk level?
As someone who is anti vaccinations I am very interested to hear people's thoughts on this.
Love and light to you and your children,
Christina
Hello ChristinaM
Do you have a source for this information, please? A website perhaps, or an online newspaper article. Thanks. 🙂

Hi,
I was first alerted by What Doctors Don't Tell You.
This is only one of several articles
http://www.wddty.com/03363800369307785594/hpv-teenage-vaccine-is-causing-death-and-injury.html
There's also the Daily Mail
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-510221/Alert-jab-girls-die-following-cervical-cancer-vaccination.html
This is an older article about it
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/23410/Eight-deaths-linked-to-Labour-s-new-sex-jab-for-schoolgirls
And another

On any search engine you find many articles about it.

Many thanks for those. It's always useful to have points of reference for something topical like this 🙂
I hope you get some answers here ... I can't help, I'm afraid, as I'm not a parent either, so haven't really looked into this at all 😮

My two youngest children aren't vaccinated at all, after my eldest went down with ear infections immediately after his first 2 vaccinations as a baby. The first time I let the doc tell me it was co-incidence, but after the 2nd ... no way.
My surgery gave up with us over the vaccination issue, after us asking too many questions and asking for an ingredient list, then telling them that we would consider it, make an informed choice, and come back to them if we wanted to go ahead. 😉
But yes, even if my daughter were vaccinated, I would want to know about any reported adverse reactions to a new vaccine. They are apparently bringing it in here, but for the year below my daughter.
Thanks for the information.
I am hoping that my daughter won't choose to receive this vaccine when the time comes, but it will be her decision as she will be old enough to choose herself by that age...
Actually now that I think about it, I thought it was age 15 they were getting these jabs, but I am reading now that it is around 11-13, is that right? In that case it would be the parent's decision then rather than the child's?
I haven't had chance to read the literature around these vaccines but it wouldn't surprise me if there were side effects. As a homeopath, I and many of my colleagues sadly see cases where parents are absolutely certain that theire child's presenting symptoms (ranging from autism to eczema)dates back to vaccinations.
I'm not saying that all children will have obvious problems from vaccinations (and of course we see that many appear to be unaffected) but a proportion of them do seem susceptible to side effects. I don't think this particular vaccine will be any different.
It seems common sense to me for the medical profession to give this due attention and I really fear that we will become 'vaccination mad', world wide. I'm just grateful that I don't have that awful parental dilemma of whether to vaccinate or not. Hom
Like Christina, I too am against vaccinations, and have read alarming reports about the hpv vaccine. I also have info on it, but I am sure Christina's links are enough.
My boys, now age 22 and 28, have always had their vaccinations administered homoeopathically, especially after a very severe reaction to the Pre-school jab by my youngest son. He saw 4 Consultants and they thought he had Cancer, and were about to operate by removing a lymphatic gland, when he was age 4 1/2 which would have affected him terribly in later life. It was a malignant lump on his neck, but they said it could turn benign.
However, I read in the Science of Homoeopathy about this jab and the lump it can produce, so declined the operation, and took him to a homoeopath/naturopath who got rid of it in one week. The Consultant was amazed, as he had given me one week before the operation. He asked me where it had gone - it was ENORMOUS.
Since then my boys have had the BCG/MMR/Meningitis/Travel vaccines all done homoeopathically.
Their immune systems have not been impaired by these foreign toxic poisons dumped into their bloodstreams, and I am very grateful that they are fighting fit.
Sorry to diverse from the HPV, but truly I would advise any parent to really consider these jabs. I am happy to forward further info on the HPV, but I am sure Christina's will have covered it.
Candlelight 🙂 x
We use homoeopathic nosode vaccinations too, instead of convential vaccinations...
I wonder if there is a homoeopathic alternative to the HPV vaccine? If so I would consider that for my daughter when the time comes, as I would prefer her not to receive the traditional one.
There is an article on the BBC news website about a catholic school that is declining the vaccine for its pupils http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7633761.stm
Thanks for the link Jabba 🙂 As a school governor I found that very interesting ...
Like me I doubt the majority of governors will have the knowledge/experience to support a school with endorsing that sort of programme, and I doubt teaching staff or head teachers have either. Fortunately my school doesn't cover the age group, but if it did I would be arguing against the school being used to promote it, no question.
Having read that article, I have to say that if my daughter was within the target group, I would probably be writing to the governors of her school and asking for what evidence the governors examined that substantiates the school's endorsement of what is a medical, rather than an educational matter. 😎
Schools Secretary Ed Balls saying that he doesn't think schools walking away from their responsibility for children's health is the way to go ....
It being done through the schools gives it an air of respectibility to parents, if the schools are endorsing it, well it can't be that bad can it?
Maybe I'm cynical, but schools getting involved means governors being in a position to offer parents lots of information, for and against, open evenings for discussion with medically knowledgeable people etc. And doing that properly would cost money. School budget increase anyone?
Passing the buck onto schools....? I'd like to tell Ed Balls the way to go 😀
But good for the governors of St Monicas for not just box ticking some new initiative, but saying what they really think. 🙂
Actually now that I think about it, I thought it was age 15 they were getting these jabs, but I am reading now that it is around 11-13, is that right? In that case it would be the parent's decision then rather than the child's?
Ok, this is going to sound reactionary but hey ho!
I have boys, so theoretically this shouldn't affect us. However if this is right then bearing in mind that (IIRC) HPV is sexually transmitted, does this mean the powers that be are acknowledging that 11 year olds are going to have sex? And since it's not found in virgins and only found in girls, and since boys are therefore the carriers, why aren't boys being given it?
That being said, my boys wouldn't have it because we've had enough problems with vaccines as it is. (ds has been under GOS for cysts in his lymphatic system following his first baby vaccines). Just a thought though.
Hi-As a homeopath I naturally hold certain views towards various aspects of conventional medicine, and I really don't want to challenge the information in previous posts at all. However, there can be confusion over the term 'homeopathic vaccinations'.
There exists in homeopathy, certain remedies that are thought to lessen susceptibility to certan diseases, and it is these that are given- not actually vaccinations as we think of them. There are no guarantees that they will be totally effective and provide complete protection against illness (but nor are there with vaccinations) however, most homeopaths are happy to use them, if they feel they're approprate for that particular patient.
There are also remedies that are thought to help with possible side effects of conventional vaccinations, either before the event or after. I have patients for example, who bring their babies along before a jab, for remedies as a preventative measure. -Again, we can give no guarantees.
This unfortunately, has to be stressed, because homeopaths attract a lot of bad publicity, when there's any suggestion that they are claiming to give out 'homeopathic vaccinations'!
That aside, it's great that homeopathy's worked so well as in the earlier post and if only more people were aware of its potential, we could actually begin to reduce gp and hospital numbers for once! Hom
