Hi all,
I came across this article today which I found very interesting (and empowering) and wanted to share it here. I actually share some of the author's views already, would be interested to hear others thoughts.
Cancer is not a Disease - It's a Survival Mechanism (Book Excerpt)
Hi Maya
I have never believed that cancer is a disease, we can't catch it from others, we can only create it within ourselves, not sure that I would describe it as a survival mechanism, but it does give people a right royal boot up the back side when detected and will often make them re-evaluate their current beliefs and understanding. 😉
So true, Paul, but so many don't believe in this concept. The latest scam is the 'cancer gene'-a predisposition to cancer-give me a break! What will these 'cancer mongers' come up with next !!! Like all the other 'cancer cures', it's VERY expensive-around $3500 USD I'm told. It's cheaper to stay alive rather than be 'chemo'd to death'. Having lost two great, close friends to cancer, I speak from experience and that is why I took the natural route six years ago. Hmmmm.....isn't it amazing, when I was diagnosed, I removed what cancer liked from my diet, and voila !!! Cancer didn't approve of my new lifestyle and went elsewhere. Could I be on to something here (lol).......?????
kcat:)
Hi Kcat,
Would love to know what you removed from your diet. x
Heal The Body
Health problem emerges from eating processed foods, artificial sweeteners, colouring, additives, fizzy drinks ect. This all depletes our vitamin, mineral and amino acid intake.
One missing nutrient causes an imbalance in the bodys ability to maintain vibrant health. Then when we fall ill we are prescribed the appropriate pharmaceutical medications.
Good nutrition is essential for carrying out various body functions, for promoting health and for growth of the body. For example, calcium is essential for formation of bones and teeth for coagulation of blood, cardiac function, contraction of muscles, Iron is essential for the formation of haemoglobin, brain development and function, regulation of body temperature, muscle activity etc.
If you provide your body with the right conditions your body will repair and heal itself naturally.
Lumiere, I became 'a student of cancer' and spent hours per day learning about it. It's not the end of the world when cancer is diagnosed. After my three day pity party, I decided that death from cancer was not an option. I removed fast food, carbonated soda, processed food, sugar and moved to a more alkaline state (cancer lives in an acidic environment). When tested, almost without exception, people with cancer have acidic blood, Cancer doesn't like sulfur (hence I introduced MSM to my system), Vitamin D-3, Omega-3, Vitamin E and more. I even took the 'dreaded laetrile'-you know, the one that the US FDA said was harmful to us. Cancer is only a death sentence for those who believe in the Easter Bunny, Mickey Mouse and chemo.

I read all of that extract. Amazing stuff. Drawback is, of course, there are a lot of people makes a pile of money from cancer. About time people were being allowed to make informed choices.

very good! 🙂
Hi Guy's .
An Interesting topic .
I agree with a lot of what's said regarding the foods that we eat .
We are what we eat as they say .
Of course we have to balance mind body and spirit to achieve an overall package of well being .
Perhaps If an Individual eats good foods week In week out It won't help certain aspects If one Is full of resentments / angers / guilts and so forth .
Self love Is always the key .
x dazzle x
Fantastic article Maya.
Thank you for posting it. 🙂
Hello Kcatdeejay, I am really pleased to hear that you have beaten cancer by changing your diet, and I hope it will be an inspiration to other sufferers, but when you write things like:
"Cancer is only a death sentence for those who believe in the Easter Bunny, Mickey Mouse and chemo" it hurts others who have lost loves ones to cancer as I have. I lost my wife aged 47, she did not believe in the easter bunny or mickey mouse, but she did try chemo.
As I said I am really happy that you and hopefully many more will continue to overcome cancer, there are I believe many answers, diet, environment, attitude etc are just some of them.
from the article highlighted in the first post
Cancer has always been an extremely rare illness, except in industrialized nations during the past 50-60 years. However, human genes have not significantly changed for thousands of years. Why would they change so drastically now, and suddenly decide to attack and destroy the bodies of nearly half of the population?
What a thought provoking question.
The article is fascinating - asking so many powerful questions to open our eyes.
It speaks about how, in autopsies, many cancerous growths are found in people - people who haven't died of cancer and weren't troubled by these tumours. That is really interesting.
Also, that many people diagnosed with cancer often die from something else. My late husband had lung cancer, the tumour compressing his spine and causing him to lose all sensation below his waist. He had an operation to try to scrape away some of the tunour from his spine (what were we thinking of when we allowed that to happen?) - and he died a week or two post-operatively from a blood clot in his lung - ie as a result of medical intervention.
I think that there is a lot that we can question about the mainstream approach to cancer and a great deal that needs to be questioned.
