I've a friend in America who's the one who convinced me for sure, weeks ago, that the American 9/11 was a conspiracy at some level from the American authorities. (See thread on that.)
This friend has been asking me all along if I thought London's 7/7 bombs were also a plot. I've been going "No way" all along. But now he passed me this video link:

I'm really not at all surprised that this is being considered, if people are starting to look at 9/11 as a conspiricey then of course we have to question 7/7
A chilling film to watch, I have never before seen footage of the actual under ground explosion, but the real issue is the realisation that our leaders are 'possibly' our enemies!!! What a cold thought that the like of you & me...Joe Public's lives will be ended for justifaction...of what exactly?? The reprosussions (ooo Amelias' bad spelling strikes again) after the event, the fuelled race hate[&o]
But...do you believe that IF this is the truth..the bombs being a set up that the like of George Bush & Tony Blair are actaully in on it or is it determined by some higher power/organaisation??? I remember Tony's face going a white as a sheet when he was given the news of 7/7...he looked like he could either throw up or burst into tears
To live under the threat of a terrorist attack is awful, but what this suggests is far worse

I've simply no real idea. But it is hard to believe.
In the American case it seems to have been rogue elements led by Dick Cheney. (He actually stopped fighters taking off to intercept, and was heard by an innocent to say, "Don't you remember the plan?" It links up to the Princess Di thread too ... rogue elements. But I've no idea who.

These kind of people always cover the tracks, or nearly always, so I doubt anyone will ever be brought to justice. (Have you seen Oliver Stone's film, 'JFK' or read the book?)
But one avenue to pursue is always - "Who stands to gain?"

Shalor is inferring that the bombs were planted on the trains then and the bus I suppose. How comes though that the 4 men that were branded suicide bombers were each co-incidently on each of the bombed vehicles if they weren't responsible?

My take on seeing that film is that there maybe a possibility that these men where doing some sort of 'sercret work' but none where aware that the package they were carrying contained a bomb, for all anyone really knows, they could have been hired to deliver a parcel (erm...how big are bombs??) & have no idea that the parcel they where carrying contained what it did.....[&:]..thats the impression I got from watching the clip anyway

I wonder too about willing suicide bombers, they must be heavily hypnotised /brainwashed or incredibly stupid. But life is cheap in those countries and communities.
I don't know how big the bombs are, but probably not too big, and as they explode in a confined space.
A friend of mine is normally on the tube at that time of the morning, and 2 of her colleagues were, and had met up withone of their daughters, who was killed, and the colleague of the mother was very badly injured, the mother slightly less so, but of course bereaved. My friend was taking a long w/e and only working that morning and went in very early.
But the conspiracy theories are very thought provoking, do our Govts care so little about us that we can be killed?

I simply find the clip thought-provoking and don't know what to think. Thought I'd share it.
As for suicide bombers in general, they do exist and the phenomenon began in the 1980s Iran-Iraq war. Iranians lacked weaponry so some began being suicide bombers on the battle-field. People really are that mad, yes. 'Hypnotised' isn't the technical term, but they're heavily indoctrinated. Apparently Iran is the major nation for such indoctrination, which is why many suicide bombers in Lebanon, Israel, and Iraq are actually thought to be from Iran. (Which links into the nuclear thread in a scary way.)

I thought I'd add here that until my U.S. friend sent me the llink to the video clip, I had no idea that there's a whole internet thing about 7/7 having been a conspiracy, and apparently at least one book. I still haven't made my mind up, and of course some on the net just aren't sane. But just put "7/7 conspiracy" into google and you come up with all kinds of forum threads and articles.
It's quite a widespread idea, and some interesting points are made.

Shayler is the MI5 (6?) agent who went public on the fact that the USA, the UK, and Israel have all had plans to attack their own people and buildings, warships, and embassies, and have done so, in order to justify invading oil-rich and gas-rich nations in the Middle East and North Africa.
Shayler tries not to speak from theory, but was an actual UK operative (spy), and he's talking from what he knows. He talks about 9/11, 7/7, and Mossad attacking one of their own Israeli embassies to justify later military action. He claims that Western secret services definitely do this and he gives various examples of what he witnessed, or past cases where such ideas were raised right back to the 1960s and often vetoed.
Right back to JFK there were such ideas (JFK vetoed them). So no matter what happened on 7/7 and 9/11, it is clearly established that Western secret services do raise such plans to attack their own peoples under the guise that it's an outside enemy. The plans, at least, do occur, and Shayler as an operative, saw them. (He was jailed for 6 months in France after going public.)
There's a Q & A session, and Shayler also goes into the psychology of how different people face up to these events. Such as how many people can't face these possible truths, and how to answer such people.
We've been asking, did people like Blair and Bush personally know of these things beforehand? Shayler replies that the secret services do act independently of government, and while government may strongly suspect the truth, they too can be under the thumb of the secret services. (He says there's a file on Blair for example, which holds damning information about his past: MI5 would therefore have a power over Blair to control him.)
