About Short Massage Training Courses
Fusion Massage is a highly effective deep tissue massage designed to get to the root of client's problems. There is no set routine in Fusion Massage; instead the practitioner is trained to diagnose what the problem is and where it stems from. We place a great deal of emphasis on massaging the hands, head and feet. In Western understandings of the body we are working on the skin, fascia, musculature and all the connective tissue. In Eastern understandings we are working on the meridians and the body's energy. The beauty of fusion massage is that it does not focus on one or the other exclusively, what effects one impacts on the other so we are treating the body as a whole, fusing techniques from both Western and Eastern traditions. This makes Fusion Massage an incredibly powerful and effective massage; we can treat a wide range of problems by using these techniques. This allows you as a practitioner to quickly build your practice as clients refer their friends and family to a treatment which really works and gets results.
Fusion Massage Training shows you how to accomplish this and be an effective massage practitioner. On completion of the course you get a Diploma in Fusion Massage, accredited by IPTI and this will allow you to get professional insurance and to work within the massage industry. If you are an existing practitioner wanting to add a deep tissue massage to your portfolio you can do this quickly and efficiently.
There are four parts to the Fusion Massage Diploma course:
1. Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology – this is delivered online and you can take course at your own pace and in your own home. You study the subject block by block and only move on when you are ready to. If you already have an A&P level 3 (or equivalent) qualification your course is discounted by £65.
2. Reading pack. Following the A&P course you then complete a reading pack at home; this should not take more than a day. It charts the importance of massage throughout healthcare throughout time and looks at some of the key developments in massage. This gives you the background to move onto the practical elements of the course.
3. A 7 day intensive hands on massage course. We run this course in various formats but all cover the same material. Working with one of our experienced teachers you will learn a new part of the massage each day, building your skills until you can give a very effective full body remedial massage treatment. You will observe our teachers massage and will both give and receive massage each day. We also learn the contraindications to massage, hygiene, health and safety, lone working and business issues. For a full description of the course please see the website.
4 Part four of the course consists of completing case study treatments on friends and family, this helps you embed what has been learnt to further develop your confidence.
We offer this course in Preston, Lancashire, London, Dublin, Mauritius, Israel, New Zealand and Spain. Most of our courses are taught in English but we offer the course bilingually in Mauritius (French / English) and along with our standard courses in London which are held in Sutton, we also offer our Diploma course in Russian in Richmond, London.
