About Rising Phoenix Counsellling

I’m a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist who uses the integral approach to suit the needs of all individuals. I have additional qualifications in Advanced Psychotherapy and CBT.

Integrative counselling is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. Every individual is unique and will experience life and events differently. What works for one person doesn’t work for another. I will work with you to find the best approach suited to you specifically and your needs.

The integrative approach is concerned with the infusion of a person’s personality and needs – integrating the affective, behavioural, cognitive, and physiological systems within one person, as well as addressing social and spiritual aspects. It requires the client to commit towards self exploration and gain empowerment.

I am here to listen, guide, help, support and shine light on whatever may be the cause of your distress so that you feel empowered, understood, valued and validated and can gain a deeper awareness and learn to tackle life difficulties by gaining the knowledge and tools to alleviate distress.

Resolution is possible, whether what is troubling you is due to a current event such as a recent loss or past events stemming as far as childhood.

I have worked with various issues; anger, anxiety, low self esteem, depression, relationships, trauma, abuse…my main areas are childhood, trauma and abuse.

My counselling journey started as a phone counsellor for a rape crisis. My own life experiences have given me the experience to relate to many of my clients and what life throws. I have a PGCE (teaching qualification) and love to enlighten and empower others through knowledge, experience and empathy.

I’ve helped my clients break through obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. Life’s too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. I would  love to help. Get in touch today.
