Hi, this may be the wrong section so sorry in advance.

Basically I'm 26 years old and I look like I'm in my mid teens. A lot of people will say to be grateful and they wish for this but it really gets me down and I'm starting to think there could be something health related. Is that a thing?

I can't grow facial hair, only fluff. I have a babyish looking face so it's a bit off-putting for potential partners as they tend to think I look too innocent.

Are there any supplements which could boost ageing? Could I be low in testosterone/hormones or something? Bad diet? (I think I eat pretty healthily). It just seems like my body has been put on hold from developing further...

I've been feeling this for years now and I don't know what to do.

Thanks

A while ago I visited my GP with a very painful nipple and a type of hardening underneath . I was referred to a breast clinic at the local hospital. The specialist's opinion was that I had Mastitis and nothing to worry about . Now it has flared up again on the other breast, can feel the hardening and is extremely painful .
I can think of what may be the cause as I take Beta blockers and Tamsulosin for an enlarged Prostate.
Should I go back to my GP or put up with it? The only worry is that is breast cancer, I was told it isn't, if so I can put up with it.

Kind regards
Graham.

I'm a single mum, with a son who has just turned 16. He is just beginning to get longer (but still fine) facial hair and has mild acne. We're close and I'm not worried about talking to him about it - but technically, I feel quite ignorant. Is it even the right time for him to start shaving? And at this stage, how often will he need to shave?

I know to shave in the direction that the hair grows - but what is the best equipment to use, from shaving foam to after shave skin care? Also, what else would you advise a young man beginning to shave?

You see, completely ignorant, so any advice will be very appreciated.

Hello everyone. This is my first post and I don't even know of this is the right section, so please be patient with me.

I am a 38 year old man, married with 3 girls in the UK. I am normally healthy but have had some worrying symptoms for the last 4 weeks.

I have been to my GP and he thinks I have prostatitis. I have been referred to a urologist who I see in mid March. He checked my prostate and it made me have an urge to urinate but didn't really state if he thought it was inflamed or not.

It started at the end of January after going to the pub with a colleague at lunchtime for a pint. From about an hour or two after, I could not stop urinating and I had an uncomfortable feeling in my bladder, as if I needed to go again straight after going. This continued overnight and I went to see a nurse practitioner the next day as my GP surgery was shut. She tested my urine and found leukocytes (white blood cells) and treated as it as urine infection and prescribed trimethoprim for a week.

It continued for a few days, then pain started in my groin, rectum and testicles, like a dull ache, but always in a different place. I went back to my GP and he checked my prostate as I mentioned above and made me do another urine test. I got ,the results 3 days later and he said that there was no sign of a urine infection but decided to keep me on trimethoprim for another 3 weeks, which comes to an end on Friday.

I have no idea if they are working tbh. My pain stopped after going to the Gp but I was left with urinary frequency and needing to go far too much than I needed to. I work in an office and its quite uncomfortable.

Over the last 2 weeks, the urinary frequency has got a bit better in that I'm going less during the day, but getting up once or twice in the night. I can sleep ok generally. I do have some pain from it again now though. Its always better in a morning and seems to get worse throughout the day. The pain can be a dull ache somewhere in my pelvic region, or a sharp shooting pain across my bladder or in my back passage. There are also times when it feels like my prostate is burning and this can last for a couple of hours. I can also get random, intermittent pain in my buttocks or legs.

There is no burning when I urinate and no pain. It is very unpredictable and very frustrating because I don't know what awaits me on any given day. It has caused a great deal of stress and anxiety for me and I wake up most days a nervous wreck. This worry possibly makes it worse but I am a natural worrier. I suffered some awful emotional stress at work about 6 months ago which took an awful toll and I feel like I am still suffering the effects now.

Because of our busy life, my diet is not great but i do my best to eat as much fruit and veg as i can. I have cut out alcohol and caffeine completely and only drink water, juice or decaf tea.

Could this be stress related? I am wanting to try acupuncture but i don't know enough about it and don't want to make things worse. I'm thinking about looking into it before I go to the urologist. Could anyone offer any advice? I just want to get back to my normal life, I love sport and want to get back to being involved and back to being a healthy, energetic dad.

Thanks

My husband, 59, has been slightly incontinent for the past half year, ever since he doubled his coffee intake. This is, apparently, not uncommon for men who drink coffee. But as he does that to help with his CTE (don't ask) he sticks to the coffee and wears pants in bed.

Just lately I found that the nightly leaks had disappeared. Wondering what had changed I searched the internet, and eventually identified the helping agent: raspberries! We grow autumn raspberries which produce from the end of August till the last of the sunshine, and every day my husband (and I) pick and eat loads, fresh from the bush.
Apparently raspberry juice and raspberry leaf tea, strengthen the bladder.
As this was not easy to find on the internet, I thought I'd mention it here. Of course a lot depends on the severity and the cause of the incontinence, but it's worth a try while the raspberries are still around.
You'll have trouble finding a more harmless or pleasant remedy!

I saw the other day at our local Planet Organic a shower gel brand called '100bodycare' and on the packaging of the products, it says they contain only natural ingredients and no chemicals. It also says that the ingredients assist sports recovery and cool down muscles.

Now my question is: has anyone tried them already? Do they really help your muscles recover and what are your general thoughts on toiletries with natural ingredients ? Do you use such products ?

Cheers :)

So at the start of January I had this sharp pain that was crippling me and originating from my left testicle. After hours of thinking it was torsion the doctor told me I just had an infection because the pain wasn't coming from the testicle itself but from the area around it. He prescribed me with a tablet beginning with T, I cannot remember the name, it was take 2 a day for 14 days and When I finished the dosage I was fine.

Only now has the pain (but no where near as crippling as it was to begin with) came back a tiny bit, the doctor said it's normal as it can take 6-12 weeks for it to disappear completely or even longer and then he told me if it gets worse just phone for another anti-biotic.

So my mother phoned up. They first gave me metronidazole 500mg that I couldn't take because they were huge (i have problems swallowing tablets) and they weren't coated, so it would make me gag and I couldnt swallow it either way.

My mother rang again and returned these anti-biotics and again asked for the first tablet i was prescribed as they worked and they were small and coated (so they were perfect). I figured that because they can see what i've been prescribed before and what problems I have (the infection) they will give me them, or something similar.

This time they gave me Ciprofloxacin 500mg and I found out that my mother had been telling them over the phone that I had bladder infection instead of an infection of the epididymis.

So now I'm wondering will these new tablets work for my infection? Are they prescribed correctly (because my mother told them it was a bladder infection, i'm wondering will they know to check that it's not)? Or will I have to go up to the doctors and personally tell him about the situation?

I also had an ultrasound and everything was fine, no torsion. Although he said that there was some fluid around the area, which should go away with time.

I am a 20 year old male.

Thanks.
