Description

My name is Victoria Gray and I am a qualified osteopath, aromatherapist and certified baby massage instructor.
Osteopathy is a reputable health care profession. It is a therapy that recognises that abnormalities in the function of a body's structure leads to pain and disability. The aim of the treatment is therefore to address these structural imbalances in order to restore normal function using a variety of techniques including massage, stretching, mobilisation and exercises. Some of the common problems that osteopathy may help to treat include: back pain, neck pain, joint and muscle pain, sciatica, arthritic pain, sports injuries, headaches and migraines.
Aromathearpy combines the natural therapeutic properties of essential oils and the healing power of massage therapy. Holistic aromatherapy uses a whole-person approach. The organic essential oils are hand-blended specifically for the individual and applied in the form of a full or partial body massage. Home blends and products may be prescribed. Aromatherapy is a great relaxing and rejuvinating experience; it may be particularly helpful with cases of insomnia, depression, symptoms of stress, digestive and respiratory complaints.
Pregnancy massage is designed to optimise the health and wellbeing of Mum-to-be and baby. It is a wonderfully relaxing full body massage that may help to prevent or minimize the various discomforts of pregnancy. Aromatherapy essential oils can safely be used after the first trimester, before this, the massage is performed using a vegetable based oil only. Post-natal massage is also available to help your body to re-adjust after childbirth, helping the body to heal and boosting your energy levels.
Baby Massage classes are becoming ever so popular. They are available to all babies from birth to age 1 (or before they become too active) and to all parents and primary care-givers. The course is run over a period of five weeks and each class includes learning to massage different parts of your baby's body and includes discussing various topics, and is a lovely time to spend with your baby and others. The classes are available in the comfort of your own home (you can organise a group of you or just a one-to-one class). There are classes that I run in and around Clare in Suffolk.
