Description
Yoga for the Mind is a completely unique mind-body therapy for managing and healing from a range of mental health issues.
When we suffer emotionally both our psychology and physiology are influenced, essentially our whole being is affected from the inside out. The process of emotional healing must therefore include both the body and the mind. If we only work with the body we miss the thought patterns that give rise to suffering, and if we only deal with the thoughts, we ignore our biochemistry and physiology, which often changes during prolonged periods of emotional imbalance.
Appreciating this deep mind-body connection, Yoga for the Mind teaches us how to harness the combined power of body and mind in a process of mutual care, and through a fusion of yoga movement, breath regulation and self-awareness practices, educates us in how to rebalance and regain awareness of all parts of ourselves.
• These courses are 8 weeks long and meet once a week for 2 hours.
• All levels of yoga and meditation are welcome including complete beginners.
• Class numbers are limited to 12 so that you can benefit from individual attention and instructions to support you on your healing journey.
• The price of £200 includes a comprehensive manual of all the practices covered and a CD to support your daily home practice.
