LIFE IS AN ECHO


A young son and his father were walking in the
mountains. Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself
and screams: "Aaahhhh!"

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating from
somewhere beyond in the mountain valley: "Aaahhhh!"

Curious, he yells back: "Who are you?" He receives
the answer: "Who are you?" Angered at the response,
he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer:
"Coward!" He looks at his father and asks: "What's
going on?"

The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you! " Again the man
screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers:
"You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this an
echo, but really this is life. It gives you back
everything exactly as you say or do. Our life is
simply a reflection of our words and actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more
love in your heart. If you want more competence
in your team, improve your own competence. This
relationship applies to everything, in all aspects
of life; life will give you back everything you
give to it.

Your life is not a coincidence. It's a reflection
of you!"

I don't like these types of poems/sayings quite honestly - I know some real a***holes whose lives are going just great always have done, yet I know people who are kind, caring and think of others all the time and their lives are a real struggle.

I know its hard to believe but that ar** hole is doing something right. Receiving more than 'kind and caring' peoole because he is perhaps less rigid, less judgemental, hence a right little rogue in most people's views but open and loose as far as grace goes and seemingly good people are pinching their pipes.... Life has its own mysterious parameters which very seldom follows our ideas of good and bad, right and wrong.

I agree. Also it is all relative.To one that person may be an a-hole to other something completely different. The poem is beautiful and what makes it even more beautiful is that it is absolutely true. What people generally mistake is actions and intentions. Our life is the reflection of our intentions not our actions. Stopping on the road so the old lady can pass because you felt others would think that you are inconsiderate is hardly a noble intention. You stopped before the lady because of your own fears and ego and worries.The poem was about the intention coming from the heart - the echoed words were just a manifestation of the intention.
