No apology needed at all.

So if we aren't born and brought up in India we don't get a vast range of experience in order to make judgements?

Sorry but I just don't understand your conclusions.

Anyway I'm being silly. Apologies.

The thread is interesting though.

I'm sure Sacrel has enough "experience" to make his own judgement.
:-)

Cheers

No Mr_Firstlight,

If you just read the sentence before the one you cited, you find this:

"Like everyone else, my judgment is the result of my personal experience which is necessarily unique. "

Of course every sentient being acquires "a vast range of experience in order to make judgements!

I would have thought that with the opening three words, I made my view quite clear.

Sacrel is no exception!

And I never expressed or implied otherwise!

Regards.

It'll be interesting to have HP's own roving reporter.

I once went to three weekly meetings of Benjamin Creme, who I long since ceased accepting as authentic or right ... and lived to tell the tale!

(I mean that if a teacher turns out to be somehow 'not right', we generally live to tell the tale and can learn from it, yes.)

Thank you barafundle will do.

Hi Venetian

Totally right!, i understand what you mean.

Authentic or not?, Strange how we seem to want to seek the answer, no matter what evidence there is!, yet the experience not forgotten.

Whatever the outcome we grow a little more wiser.

blessings

Hello,

I have had two direct experiences of Yogiraj. I have also received the Kriya initiation from him, which I would suggest to all dedicated spiritual seekers. It is an incredibly powerful spiritual practice which over time leads to enlightenment and self-realization, and from practice of Kriya I feel that he is conveying the true method. It has changed my life incredibly.
As far as Yogiraj, from direct experience of his presence I can say that he is an advanced yogi. There is a definite intense spiritual energy surrounding him. My personal impression is that he has some ego issues to resolve, but it may also be a projection because I too face the same ego lessons.
I did not feel a strong sense of love in his presence, which struck me. A feeling of pervading unconditional love and bliss is the sign of a completely realized masters prescence. I have experienced it in the presence of other advanced beings.
Still, there is definitely an interesting intensity around him that is undeniable. My opinion is that all who are interested in him should attend one of his talks and judge for themselves. I do feel that he has the knowledge, wisdom, and experience to convey the Kriya teaching with complete integrity.

Hope this has been helpful. Love and Light.

Wow! I thought it was just me who got this impression of him. I wanted more information about the Indian saint Anandamayi Ma and went to youtube.com. He mentioned meeting her. As a result of his encounter, where he touched her feet but his hands went right through to the floor, I bought a book about her life because I simply had to know more. Just looking at her photos, you see the love and bliss of which you speak. Same with the late Swami Hariharananda (appointed by Yogananda to run his schools in India) and his successor in the kriya yoga line, Prajnanananda who initiated me in kriya several years ago. With Gurunath, I could feel his ego in that short video, i.e. he didn't want to talk about Anandamayi Ma with his audience and told them to buy his book! But I thank him for leading me to her!

Youtube is a treasure trove of spiritual videos. I got lost in the Yogananda ones. You see him showing Westerners how to sleep properly! He also does a silent film bit and you see him and disciples walking down a NYC street. There was another one called Eyes of the Master or similar with pictures of him, many I hadn't seen before, like him sitting on an alligator! You can feel his loving power and I burst into tears toward the end. Why was I born too late to meet these great saints?
