Hi all, I hope you can help me, I've been trying to sell my house for six months now and am getting really desperate to move! We haven't had a viewing since early feb. There are lots of reasons why we need to move, not just a whim. I would really appreciate it if you could send some of your positive thoughts to this situation for me and are there any little rituals I could be doing to invite people in? I know the market isn't strong right now but I really need to do something!
I've have been positive in my thinking and even put a sold sign in my garden that only I can see, no one else, I do try and visualise us moving etc so I am trying, any other ideas would be so much appreciated. Thank you x x x

From a practical point of view ... what are the estate agents doing to market your property, if anything? Some go for an initial burst of newspaper advertising, then stop as other properties come on the market and then those get the good ink.
Also, how much competition is there? I mean how many other estate agents are there in your area? And also how many other properties of similar value to yours are on the market in your vicinity? It might be time for some assertiveness on your part because, if it's feasible, a threat to take your business elsewhere might see some action, or even a swift kick up the .... you know what I mean Oh, an afterthought ... have you found a property to move to? Or are you waiting til you have a buyer before you start looking? Holistic

I just had a quick look in the Feng Shui forum to see if there was any advice..nothing there.
You need to get some movement If you are even slightly familiar with Feng Shui you know how important it is to keep the chi moving. If you think you have found the ideal spot for something, maybe you have left it in that spot for ages and this can contribute to stagnant energy. If we are surrounded by stagnant energy, our lives (and house selling plans )reflect that blocked energy and hence the standstill. To counteract this stalled energy, move 27 items. Swap one item with another , put something out of sight, bring one into a different room. even re-arrange books and ornaments The important thing is to MOVE your stuff Another thing to do is go round all the corners in the house and clap to break up stagnant energy Finally, speak to the spirit of the house, say thank you and let her/it know you would like to leave now tigress ,

Well firstly from a practical point, I really don't think the agents can do anymore, or so they say, I was on the phone yesterday and we've totally changed to the right up about it, the house has been decorated to a high standard, new kitchen etc, it's one on its own, apartment in a 17th century manor house so no comparison there, its got tons of private garden, really beautiful place to live and everything going for it, we've had no negatives back, only garden is too big!, which it crazy lol we're going into rented so no delays moving. Did think about changing agents but would cost, will stay for now.
On the feng shui, i'm moving into the conservatory for the summer this week, that means furnture moving etc and will make me extra positive cause it's so lush in there! will do the clapping too. I have moaned about being stuck here, but have stopped doing it as I know it's not good to negative, but will have a little word with the place! Your replies have been great, certainly lots to think about here, thanks so much x x x as you can see its a lovely building!

a few years back someone I was on a shamanic course with a woman had a similar challenge, she wanted to sell, lots of lookers but no buyers.
I suggested a few feng shui shifts, and I also spoke to the spirit of her house, which was female, and told her that the house would only be sold to people who would care for it. We both got goosebumps. She told me later that for a while, no-one even showed up to look at the house and she was worried I had taken away what bit of interest there was..however, the very first person to visit after I spoke to the spirit of the house etc, bought the house!! tigress ,

You know, thats one of the first things I said to hubby when we decided to sell, we wanted to make sure that the right person would by it, as we have badgers we feed every summer and the wildlife is amazing. There was one lady, the last one to visit, she was so excited about the place, she was perfect for it too, she even said to me she had to live here! came for a second viewing with her parents too, she was in the process of putting her house on the market but hasn't so far, I know she needed to have things done to her house first so kinda strange nothing ever came of it as she seemed to click with me and the house. I am a great believer of everything happening for a reason too but who knows. I know there have been alot of times when i've been very unhappy here with life stuff but since march I've picked up alot and things are really good, so lots of positive thinking! x
