Default Catarrh

HI

I was wondering....

as i suffer from the horrid catarrh, and it affects my sinuses, my ears and sometimes my throat. I have also had a bout of Vertigo, which again im sure is connected.

Does anyone suffer and has a home remedy, i read that it can alos be caused from some other problem? But i have always suffered for years in silence.

At the moment i have a, what i can just describe as a sluggish body, after ive eaten carbs i feel bloated and tired.

I am wondering if dairy is to blame, as i have heartburn too....

Ive always suffered with these things on and off and just put it down to hormonal balances being off....

Any ideas....cures or food swaps......

You can Google and research Ling mudra. It clears catarrh and has many other side benefits.
Ther results are quite quick.

Heart burn is an emotional matter, needs enquiry-what is burning inside? Something you are not happy with is digging inside. Bring that into your awareness and see if it makes it a happyheart
Good luck!

Remedies perhaps, home remedies no. Catarrh is waste; why are you making so much? Why is it not being removed through the normal channels? Why is is blocking the head region? Why does the next person with the same lifestyle and habits not have exactly the same thing? Hence more to this than symptom=treatment.

Sorry to evade the question, but I think it more helpful in the long run if we look towards constitutional understanding.

I had awful problems with this until the age of 14....... when I cut out dairy, especially milk. Rather than cure, I would say look to your nutrition as the cause and any intolerances that you may have. You've already mentioned how you feel after eating carbs, I'd actually bet money that your problems lie with your diet. Maybe see a dietician/nutritional therapist or go for intolerance testing.

Thanks Bannick,

I think you are correct, I can usually tell when i feel bloated that it is a food ive eaten, i have been looking at Gluten, and maybe trying a gluten free diet, i know i feel a lot healthier when i eat proteins and less carbs.

I do try and eat as healthy as i can but bread is a love of mine.....

Hi Sheangel, I'd actually try eliminating milk and milk products completely for a fortnight and see if that is the cause, before trying the gluten-free. Intolerance to dairy products - often the casein part, not the lactose - is the most usual cause of persistent catarrh. If this is the case then butter may be acceptable but not milk, cream, cheese or yoghurt. Alternative 'milks' can be soya, rice, almond, quinoa, and oat, but goats milk may be acceptable as the proteins differ somewhat.

It's best though to go completely dairy-free for the fortnight and see how you are. If no change, then you could try eliminating gluten. A blood test for identifying food intolerances would be useful. Probiotics and gut-healing herbs/supplements would be beneficial.

"Milk Makes Mucous". So I agree, stop all milk products for a good fortnight and see how it goes. The gluten factor may also be relevent in your case - it does sound as though you react with it.
Hopi Ear Candles may help drain and clear your ears and sinuses and helps also with inner ear balance so can help the virtego. Find a qualified therapist through thermo auricular therapy.
