Describe the process of gas exchange !

Can anyone explain the process of gas exchange starting with air being breathed into the lungs please ?

Respiration is the process of gaseous exchange by: External breathing,the oxygen is taken up by the capillaries of the lung alveoli (air sacs) and expelled as carbon dioxide whichis released from the blood.Internal, the stage of respiration in which oxygen is released to the tissues and carbon dioxide absorbed by the blood.

Visualise the lungs as upside down trees and the alveoli as leaves.

Caringsoul its you again that have answered my question, I'm not thick honestly, although I am dyslexic, that s not my excuse.What i want to saysounds so much better in my headbut I have real problems putting down in the manner of which i want to.
