Can someone please explain the difference between a Medium and a Spiritual Medium. Are they not the same?

Ho Ho Ho MC, a tricky one. I think Freda will be able to answer this though. My personal definition is a Spiritual Medium connects with the spirit of your loved ones who have passed on . A Medium, or Psychic Medium claims to work on a psychic level and also to communicate with the spirit world. If a person is a medium and is thereby able to connect to the spirit world, perhaps they shouldn't need to work on a psychic level?

As far as i am aware they are one in the same. perhaps Freda will shed some light but a medium is a medium as far as i understand. Freda where for art thou!

Hi all.

A medium is the intermediary between the physical world and the spirit world, rather like a telephone, and their main objective is to prove survival of the physical death. As Gilly says, by linking up to those who have passed over, they are able to convey messages and show that an interest is still being taken in the lives of those they continue to love here on the earth plane.

Someone who tells fortunes, uses tarot cards and the like are psychics, yet they may still have mediumistic gifts too - they are not generally called 'mediums' - but some people do use the term to advertise their services though. ( To me whatever they use to 'divine' with are just tools for concentration, and when a higher source is linked to, then communication can take place too. Spirit will use whatever means are available to get a message across if it is important enough to do so.)
