What are the signs that tell you an angel is watching over you? I know about white feathers being a sign but are there any others?
I have been going through a rough time lately and I find it very comforting to know that I have an angel watching over me.
I have started asking each night for a sign but I always add "please don't frighten me". Last week I felt someone gently touch my hand. When I asked could they touch my forehead too (I had a bad headache) I felt someone tickle my forehead. I felt really happy when this happened.
I have seen lots of white feathers lately. The other day I saw one as I left work. It floated above my head for a minute as I walked home. Half way home, as I passed an old church, a white butterfly flew alongside me for a bit. Is a butterfly a sign?
Suzanne, if something has significance for you, then it is a sign. Everyone has their personal symbology, something which uplifts their heart or confirms the presence of God/angels/Spirit. For me it's butterflies, feathers, hawks... For my friend it's rainbows...
There is no hard and fast rule... just the rule of your heart. Be open to whatever comes along, and that makes connections that much easier...
If you are alive, Spirit is "watching over you" and participating with you in life.
At any time that things get difficult, remember this and feel the warmth in your heart. You don't need external reminders, but if you want them look at the clouds, the stars, the sea, a child, the trees, the flowers, or in the mirror.
Life is the affirmation that Spirit is with you. You might even want to reframe the feelings that you have. When you are angry or frightened and you get that hot, physical feeling that you associate with helplessness? Instead, think of it as a physical affirmation that Spirit is with you and helping you to cope. They let you know in ways that are much more personal than feathers!
I hold Angel Card parties and without fail as soon as I start my nose gets tickled so much I am continualy rubbing it! In fact I apologise in advance and tell the hostess that I do not have a nervous habit and I'm sure it must be irritating to anyone watching me but I can't help it. This is the way my Angels let me know they are with me for the readings and I love it. They also have a sense of humour and have sent my messages to me in some weird and wonderful ways that sometimes make me laugh out loud ( embarrasing when walking down the road!).
YOU are an Angel Within your Spirit is the capacity to love and to do wonderful things and be as powerful as we portray Angels to be, in books, paintings, on screen, TV etc. We are all touched with 'Angelic' possibilities - and we learn how to tap into them. We limit ourselves only by our own supposed limitations: it's HARD work being Angelic[sm=rollaugh.gif][sm=rollaugh.gif]at first - comfortable human basic existence is much easier to cope with.
So very few of us, a handful in history, ever get to be Angelic all through their human lives.[:-] But every so often you TOUCH someone else's life with joy, healing, calm, wisdom, love, and you are then an Angel.
And your personal lifeline to Angels - (I call them Spirit) - just talk, in your heart, mind or with words, and you will be heard and whatever symbolic message is important to you, or otherwise, will appear. When you trust enough, the symbols don't appear, you no longer need their confirmation.[sm=newangel.gif]
What a lovely conversation - I am becoming so much more interested in angels lately. Since both my grandparents died earlier this year both my Mum and I have received many, many feathers. None lately, though, and I always feel that this is due to the fact that they have got their message across and they do not need to tell me that they are around, because I know and because I believe.
When you say you felt a touch on your hand - what does it feel like? Literally someone touching your hand or kind of a tingle? I think I experience things like this quite a lot but I also have that fear about it - wanting to feel it so much but at the same time, who is it? I guess the fear of the unknown. Once I can get past this fear I feel there is so much more to be opened up to me.
Thank you very much to everyone who has replied. You've all been very helpful.
Trudy, it was just like someone pressed their fingers in my hand. I am so sorry about your grandparents. It helps to know that our loved ones haven't really left us. Like you, I feel once I can get past the fear, there is so much more to be opened up to me. I believe we will get there Trudy[sm=hug.gif]
I can imagine feeling quite frightened if I felt something like that. But I would love to feel it at the same time. I feel we will get there as well and it definitely helps to know they are around - I feel they are often with me and part of me feels closer to them now than possibly I did when they were here.
