Looking for Physiotherapy Assistant vacancy with a view to training further

I'm looking to start a degree course in Physio in a couple of years time and so am looking to get my foot in the door -so to speak- before i get started.

My main problem is I don't have the NVQ2 in Care/1-2yrs experience required for the more senior positions, which seem to be the onluy ones advertised on The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and jobs.nhs.uk websites.
I've personally called the NHS and a few private companies and nothing has materialized from it so far.

Any ideas on where to try next? I'm starting to get a bit discouraged. Any type of advice would be much appreciated.

Start looking on the nhs website hun for jobs.

I have heard that the actual number of physio graduates getting jobs in the industry is less than 10% per annum, I know 2 graduates stacking shelves in the co-op. There are other ways of getting into therapy, search the forums on this site, there is plently of advice.

If you are looking to work in sports rehabilitation you could consider a sports therapy diploma course at present, however if the regulation of the title takes place, it will be minimum of university degree for entry to the profession. I spent a number of years as a sports masseur but found it limiting for myself personally, I wanted to know more, do more and achieve more. I have taken a more vocational approach than university which suits my family life and quality of life...........however I am a mature learner,

Hi, i am a assistant physio therapist and job availability is very limited.

I am going down the sports massage route, while working at a brain injury clinic, so maybe looking at a charity / private organisations may be helpful, i found the advert for this one in the local paper.
