ylangrose sounds like the bushes will not be cut for a while!
I have a large bush that the birds love for nesting, used to have a buddelia that the butterflies love but alas that had to go for the treatment room. There are a lot of bushes for the birds still.
Manily the visitors are Mr and Mrs Starling and all their relatives...don't they have a large family! Mr and Mrs Blackbird (Mr Blackbird loves to dart out of the bush towards the fence early in the morning and early evening, seems to know when I will be watering....as then the family come out for a spash and a drink (I always make sure that I have water in the bowl for them, changed regularly).
There is a pair of blue tits and also green finches that visit regularly, in the colder months mainly see the robin, although did see it last month. We have an influx of sparrows. A couple of pigeons...they are well fattened....yesterday two partridges they visit now and then (there is open farmland nearby)
its lovely to see the birds, but I don't care for the magpies and just wish they didn't visit, the bird I really miss is the song thrush.
