EFT & EMDR for abuse survivors funded by Scottish government
Good news for those of us trying to spread the word about EFT - Scottish government is funding a pilot project for survivors of childhood abuse that uses EFT and EMDR as the main treatments for trauma. This is a collaborative project between NHS Forth Valley and charity Open Secrets. Here is the full article on the BBC website (though the title is misleading - it refers to "light therapy" - in reference to pulsing lights that are sometimes used as part of EMDR treatment.) BBC News - Childhood abuse victims given light therapy
Isn't this excellent news Masha! Gradually EFT is getting a foothold in the medical door - but it is frustrating it is taking so long when one knows the difference it can make to people who have suffered traumas of all sorts.
As you say, it is a shame the article focuses on the 'Light Therapy' aspect of it but at least it is being discussed!
