Has anyone tried making their own wax before? Got any tips?

I've been a therapist for about 2 half years now and getting busy at long last phew!! But now that I finally understand my accounts and expenditure i'm trying to cut costs here and there and spend a bit less on various oils and waxes (amongst other things).

I love the songbird waxes - and while it's good to support other businesses too, I was thinking buy less of it and use it sparingly and then make my own stuff for general use.
